Truro Bearcats win 2024 Community Sport Organization Award

Monday, May 26, 2025

This year the Truro Bearcats were the recipients of the COMMUNITY SPORT ORGANIZATION AWARD for Lacrosse.

This award recognizes community sport organizations for the incredible work they do to deliver sport opportunities to Nova Scotians. The award highlights the individuals and teams that make it all happen. They strive for excellence in how they operate, how they collaborate, innovate, lead, and, in some cases, use sport as a tool to create positive social change.

“We are just two rural lacrosse moms whose kids grew up loving the game who wanted to ensure that the opportunities that our children were given because of this great sport were available to others in our communities. Our bearcats lacrosse players and their families are the ones responsible for our success and continued growth of the sport we are just here to help them along the way”
